I'm appallingly bad at keeping up with this thing now. I've got a few hundred photos of William to sort through too. He's extra adorable all dressed up for Easter, by the way, so hopefully I'll get those up sooner rather than later. Things have just been busy here now that Spring is here for us. Reading AnnaMarie's blog about still having snow makes me grateful to live here in DC. Yesterday Seth mowed the lawn in the morning and I tackled working on it in the afternoon. Our neighbors loaned us their electric edger when they saw me going at it manually. So much faster with the electric one. Definitely going to have to get one next time we need to edge all our sidewalks. Some of the edges had overgrown by 2-3 inches in places and I feel like we've got a normal yard now rather than an ugly mess. In a few weeks when we have a free weekend we'll tackle the flowerbeds and dig up all the crap growing in them and put down... something.
The OTHER thing we're working on is planning for a fence in our backyard. We're putting it in ourselves to save money, though it'll still be more expensive than I'd like I'm sure. Still, it desperately needs to be done. William loves going outside and running around, and our backyard has too many landmines left by the deer and other animals to let him run freely there. The deer have also taken out huge divots everywhere. And there are thornbushes popping up en masse. So we need to bust out a chainsaw and leather gloves to rip out all the thorns and weeds, clean up the piles of bricks someone left behind the shed on our property line, and then get on with the actual installation... hopefully we'll be able to pull it off.
William now... He's growing so quickly that I'm afraid to blink and miss something. The latest thing he's doing is whistling. I don't know how he figured it out, but it's so funny! He's also climbing everything he possibly can, tearing off his pants every chance he gets, and going pentipedal. He'll stick his head and hands on the floor and scoot around, giggling as he looks at me from between his legs. Running around outside and having a wide independent streak, he's also taking his share of spills. He doesn't want to hold my hand all the time, and he's taken a few good gooseeggs. Doesn't help that when he's tired he sits down and thumps his head on the ground on purpose either. Poor kid.

Good luck with those deer! They can jump 7 foot fences in a single bound.
But if we've got a 6' tall privacy fence they can't see through then maybe they'll pick the neighbor's yard with the 4 foot chain link fence to hop over and poo in instead.
Wow. I can't imagine being able to work outside...I wish! :)
William sounds completely awesome. Can't wait to see more pictures of that guy!
