The great shelf project

I feel very good about my weekend even if my hands were rubbed raw now, Seth, our friend Alex, and I made an Ikea run Friday afternoon and picked up a bunch of bookshelves! I've got four made so far and another two to go, there'll be another big one on the other side of the corner shelf and a medium one on the right end. Funny enough, of all the bookshelves we've bought and put together over the years since we've been married, Ikea's were the cheapest but also the best made.

Way to go! But your pic isn't showing up. I'll check back later to see how it looks. Then will all your books fit?

I'm not sure... since most are paperbacks, I can probably buy a couple single shelves for each bookcase and squeeze more in, but it's still a toss up. The 4 shelves upstairs are full with the entire floor covered by stacks of books and there are a couple of crates of books in the closet that are duplicates (or triplicates in some cases. What? You can never have too many copies of a good book.) or really old books Seth or I had as kids - though most of those of mine are still in Michigan. I'll pick them up eventually, Dad! When I drive up to visit someday.

On the subject of multiple copies of books...
-Some were books Seth and I both owned before we got married. Some were books Seth, I, and Seth's roommate Dave owned but we somehow ended up with when we got married. (Don't worry, he probably already had two copies) The worst culprits in the case are the Wheel of Time books.
-Some are books that Seth and I both love and don't want to share when they first come out. We have duplicates of many of Brandon Sanderson and Jim Butcher's books for this reason. In the case of Way of Kings, we have 3 copies. 2 Hardcover and 1 on the kindle.
-Some books just seem to spawn infinite copies of themselves. Usually books I don't read and would never buy. Often their dust jackets will get lost (pet peeve of mine) just to really irk me.
